Mobile X-Ray Vans: radiating a city near you

Mobile X-Ray vans are hitting American streets.
500 Z Backscatter Vans (ZBV's) reportedly have already been sold.
American Science & Engineering Corporation (AS&E) have received $18.8 million of taxpayers money by an unnamed government agency for further production.

Much debate has already arose over the TSA's full body scanners,
which experts have affirmed run the risk of causing cancer, not only for those being screened,
but additionally for TSA employees conducting the scans.
No telling how much radiation is emitted from these vehicles,
which are also capable of viewing not only through vehicles but peoples homes as well.
Even if the dose is too low to matter, the problem with radiation these days
isn't being hit with a large force at once, but being dosed on many levels daily, which all adds up.

EPIC's Marc Rotenberg has confirmed the airport body scanners are a direct violation of the 4th Amendment,
as "without a warrant, the government doesn't have a right to peer beneath your clothes without probable cause".
Adding, "If the scans can only be used in exceptional cases in airports, the idea that they can be used routinely on city streets is a very hard argument to make."
