Russia declines

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is calling for an increase in birth rates
due to forecasts which predict the countries population will decrease 20% by 2050
costing them more than 30 million people.
Putin went so far as to offer 250,000 rubles ($9,200) to women who give birth to a 2nd child,
as well as pledging to increase child support payments and more funds for nursery school.

Let's just hope they don't become yet another statistic
of the estimated 3 million homeless children in Russia.
The number given as of 2006,
which has surely grown due to wildfires which have ravaged the nation.
Domestic violence is thought to be a huge factor in the growing numbers of homeless children.

It's also important to point out the high suicide rate amongst Russian children
2,500 annually. Double the European and American numbers.
Many speculate the increase is due to rampant sexual abuse.
