De-Evolution

A poll conducted in 2009, on the eve of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth found:
-only 39% of Americans "believe in the Theory of Evolution"
-36% didn't even have an opinion on the matter

Education:
-those with a high school level or less: 21%
-some college: 41%
-college graduate: 53%
-post graduate: 74%
The higher your education the more firm your belief that Darwin's theory is a correct one.

The Theory of Evolution, although documented by fossils
stands in direct contradiction to the story of creation as outlined in the Book of Genesis.
Belief by Church Attendance:
-weekly: 24%
-nearly weekly: 30%
-seldom/never: 55%
the more you visit the church, the further you are cynical of the theory.

Belief by Age:
-18 to 34: 49%
-35 to 54: 39%
-55 & older: 31%
Younger Americans are more likely to believe it to be true.

Furthermore, only 55% associated Darwin with Evolution, 34% had no idea,
this too was influenced by education,
ranging from those with a High School or less at 31% to Post Grads at 86%

I disagree with the man's theories on Eugenics, but it's hard to deny all the data on evolution, unless you are a creationist, then of course.... all logic goes out the window.
